What are the import/taxes on international purchases?
VAT rates can range from 0% to 10% or higher, depending on your country. We process each order individually and will inform you of any additional import fees that may be applied by the shipping carrier. With our extensive experience in global shipping, we have found that the process and costs are generally minimal and streamlined, especially with carriers like FedEx. There are also various legal options for importing jewelry and gemstones that may result in little to no VAT. How do you ship?
We offer complimentary shipping on all orders within the USA, utilizing FedEx 2-Day Shipping with Direct Signature Required. For expedited service, FedEx Priority Overnight Shipping is available for an additional fee. International shipments are subject to a flat fee, which will be displayed at checkout. How does layaway work?
We offer a layaway plan of up to 12 months on all items, requiring a 20% deposit to initiate the program. The remaining balance will be divided into equal monthly payments over the next 11 months, automatically credited each month. Please note that layaway payments are non-refundable and can only be exchanged within 7 days of receiving the item, provided the exchange item is of equal or greater value. Custom-made items placed on layaway are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.
Does the jewelry/loose gemstones come with certification?
We provide an in-house certificate with every item, detailing its specifications and estimated retail value. This certificate serves as a valid document for insurance purposes, offering you peace of mind and assurance of the item's authenticity and value. Having a certificate of appraisal not only validates the quality and worth of your jewelry but also facilitates insurance claims, resale, and estate planning. This added documentation underscores our commitment to transparency and customer confidence in every purchase.
How do I make an appointment?
To view our loose gemstones and/or exclusive pieces at our Jupiter, FL location, appointments are required. To schedule an appointment, please call 561-746-8186 or email JRColombianEmeralds@gmail.com. Appointments are available Monday through Saturday.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 100% money-back guarantee on all eligible merchandise, with a 7-day return policy for a full refund, provided the item is not altered or damaged. Returns are not accepted after 7 days. Please note that some items are not eligible for returns or exchanges; refer to our Refund Policy for specific details.
The cost of shipping the item back to us is the responsibility of the buyer, and the shipment must include a required signature. We do not cover the shipping costs for returned items. Additionally, if the item is lost in transit to us, the buyer assumes full responsibility, and a refund or exchange will not be issued.
What is your exchange policy?
We offer exchanges on in-stock items within 7 days of receipt. For loose emeralds, exchanges must be made within a 3-day window. After these periods, items are non-exchangeable. The value of the exchanged item must be equal to or greater than the original purchase price. Refer to our Refund Policy for specific details.
Do you do refunds on custom orders?
Custom orders are non-refundable/exchangeable, as each piece is specifically crafted to meet your unique specifications. This personalized process ensures that your custom jewelry is tailored exclusively for you, making it difficult to resell or repurpose. Therefore, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on custom jewelry.
How do I make a custom order?
Visit our "Custom Work" tab to submit an inquiry for your future custom order. Please fill out the form and upload any relevant information. We will promptly review your submission and provide guidance on how to begin the creation of your unique piece. We look forward to helping you bring your vision to life.
How long does it take to create a custom order?
The timeframe for creating a custom order varies depending on the complexity of the piece. Custom items can be completed in as little as two weeks and may take up to eight weeks. After the deposit is received, CAD renders typically take about a week to produce. The overall duration is often influenced by the number of revisions made to the CAD renders and when the client approves the design to proceed with crafting.
Am I involved in the custom creation process?
We ensure your involvement throughout the entire creation process, starting from initial sketches to detailed CAD renderings. Once your item moves into the casting or handcrafting phase, we will provide you with images and videos, allowing you to witness your custom piece coming to life. This transparent and collaborative approach ensures your vision is realized with precision and care.
How long will it take for me to receive my package?
For In-Stock Items or Loose Gemstones: It takes approximately 1-2 business days for processing. This period allows for any necessary adjustments, such as ring sizing, and ensures the piece passes our quality control checks to guarantee safe shipment.
For Made-to-Order Pieces: Processing also takes about 1-2 business days. The crafting time for each item varies and is specified in the item description. This allows us to provide a precise timeline based on the unique requirements of each custom piece.
